Counting in December

We have been counting like crazy for the last several weeks.
Counting like Santa, counting like munchkins, counting like cowboys and cowgirls, counting like football players, counting like princesses . . . whatever it takes to keep everyone counting.

It's always cute to hear kids struggle through their "teens". 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16, 14, 18, 13. . but the time does come where we hope they can count through them correctly.


We've made some great progress and moved closer to our goal of being able to count to 100.


We've been counting our calendar days starting from one every day.

Counting how many days till Christmas.
(Each kid took one of these home at the beginning of the month.)



My favorite thing we counted this month . . . PENNIES.


With all our talk of Baby Jesus this month I decided to give the kids an opportunity to help feed a baby.
The bonus was all the counting we got to do.
Kids were invited to bring pennies all month for our penny jar.
It costs $9 to feed a baby for one week.



We had a grand total of $17.31

YEAH ! ! !

The organization I went through is one that I am familiar with and trust - Samaritan's Purse.

We'll keep counting things in January!
