For the caterpillar craft we painted styrofoam balls cut into half. We glued them onto a paint stick and stuck pipe cleaners in them for the legs.
It was a colorful fun project.
For the butterfly craft we colored coffee filters with markers. Then we sprayed them outside with a water bottle. The colors run and it's beautiful. Then we clipped a clothes pin in the middle making them a colorful butterfly. We hung them all over the plants on our playground. Our younger 3/4 class enjoyed seeing them all on their school day.
Our outside tunnel made us look like caterpillars too.
