Look what we've been up to the past couple of weeks.

Duct Tape Indian hats for letter I week

Pumpkin Pies:
Orange paint and cinnamon; "stir" your ingredients up on the "pie plate". Let dry. Cut pie pieces.  (Circle and Triangle work)

Tom the Turkey helped us count DOWN to Thanksgiving.

We plucked a feather for each day.

We counted UP on our calendar to Thanksgiving and we counted DOWN on Tom the Turkey.

Preschoolers always have things to be thankful for.
Some things I heard this month were . . . .

All the animals in the world

Coming to Preschool

Sprinkles when it rains

My little brother (who isn't a reality)

Listening to the things they are thankful for is precious.

We brought in a tree with no leaves and called in our "Tree of Thankfulness".
Everyone enjoyed adding leaves to it.
On each leaf they drew something they were thankful for and then we added the words.
Pretty soon we had a very full tree.
Chairs were used to reach the top branches.

We love having Grandma Q to help us a couple days a month. She helped them write on their leaves.

I didn't put these out really early so we'll keep them there for awhile. They enjoyed them.

We also did the "Roll A Turkey" idea from that site.
Great site.

T is for tracing tools.

This was a favorite and is still available for them.

Tracing items is a great skill to help with writing.

T week was great!

Teddy Bear Day

We had a Teddy Bear day.
Our Teddy Bears did everything with us.
They sang with us, ate with us, read with us, played with us . . . . everyone enjoyed Teddy Bear day.

I found the best Teddy Bear book by doing a random search.
I wanted a Teddy Bear book for T - not just a Bear book.


It was new to me.
It had a great message and brought about a lot of discussion.
Pick it up and read it sometime.
